Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain oral health
• Conduct patient assessments including screening for oral diseases
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Apply sealants and fluoride treatments to protect teeth
• Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Massachusetts (required)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Strong commitment to patient care and infection control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Knowledge of dental software and digital charting
• Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
• Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently
• Detail-oriented with strong manual dexterity
