Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative care in a fast-paced Level I or Level II trauma center
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique and manage sterile fields
• Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to changes during surgery
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required
• AORN membership preferred
• Previous OR experience in a level I or level II trauma center required
• Active RN license in Connecticut or compact state

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with calm professionalism
• Proficiency in surgical instrumentation and equipment
