Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
• Manage supply inventory and assist with lab tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or license in Maryland (or ability to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and digital radiography
• Sterilization and infection control best practices
• Ability to anticipate dentist needs and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
