Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating patients
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals with precision and care
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
  • Review and evaluate images for quality, ensuring accurate diagnostic results
  • Maintain strict radiation safety protocols and manage patient radiation exposure
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

  • Active certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech in a clinical setting
  • A collaborative spirit and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols

Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep understanding of nuclear medicine principles and radiopharmaceuticals
  • Proficiency with SPECT, PET/CT, and gamma camera systems
  • Solid knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA standards
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the job
