Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to patients at the facility
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Assess patient status, report changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
• Follow care plans and contribute to positive patient outcomes through skilled nursing interventions
• Educate patients and families about care, treatments, and discharge planning
• Support a culture of safety and infection control practices at all times
• Champion patient dignity, comfort, and respectful communication throughout the shift

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) candidates may also be considered for appropriate roles
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable (preferred)
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and adapting to per diem schedules
• Strong clinical judgment, good documentation skills, and a team-first attitude
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks

Education

• LPN: Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent
• RN applicants: ADN or BSN (if applying as RN) — degree appropriate to license held

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and wound care
• Proficient with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety
