Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to women in the Emergency Room setting
• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient outcomes in accordance with ANA standards
• Provide specialized care for Labor, Delivery & Recovery patients alongside emergency care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care
• Maintain a safe environment by assisting with patient lifting, transfers, and transport
• Document accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island RN license required
• Minimum 1-2 years of LDR (Labor, Delivery & Recovery) experience required
• Willingness to work in a Women's Emergency Room setting
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification, and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records required
• Ability to physically assist with patient lifting and transport

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for fast-paced emergency care
• Expertise in labor, delivery, and recovery nursing
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Proficient in EPIC documentation
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands
