Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs during labor and delivery
• Assist physicians with deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency procedures
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn feeding
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
• Active Rhode Island Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• EPIC experience required
• EFM certification strongly preferred

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of obstetric emergencies and interventions
• Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Team-oriented with a focus on patient-centered care
