Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures
Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Start Date: 09-14-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift), with on-call rotation every 3rd-4th weekend and one weeknight
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology and special procedures including PICC lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, kyphoplasty, port placement, ablations, and more
- Operate advanced imaging equipment such as Philips biplane and Toshiba single plane systems to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Assist in neuro IR procedures like Trevo for stroke and EKOS for pulmonary embolism to make a critical difference in patient outcomes
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of IR nurses and technologists to ensure seamless patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a sterile, safe, and organized procedure suite while following radiation safety protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation to support emergent and life-saving procedures after hours
Qualifications
- Active ARRT certification is required
- New Hampshire state license must be in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology or cath lab experience
- IR Neuro experience is a plus and will be prioritized
- Hardworking team player with a positive attitude and commitment to patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
- Skill in operating Philips and Toshiba imaging systems
- Understanding of radiation safety and patient positioning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure situations
- Ability to adapt quickly to varying procedure types and patient needs
