Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and assistance
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Support safe mobility and transfers, and help residents stay comfortable
Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
Help during meal times and ensure residents receive proper nutrition support
Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Demonstrated compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
Comfortable assisting with resident mobility and basic lifting tasks

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic resident care and activities of daily living (ADL) support
Understanding of geriatric needs and age-related conditions
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Infection prevention and safe hygiene practices
Clear documentation and effective communication with care teams
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
