Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to older adults, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor resident comfort and safety overnight and escalate concerns to nursing staff
• Assist with toileting, bathing, grooming, and safe transfers with dignity and respect
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in resident records
• Support mealtime, mobility, and fall-prevention routines during your shift
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through kind, attentive care

Qualifications

• Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent credential
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Comfortable working overnight (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and available for per diem shifts
• Background check, drug screen, and required immunizations (as facility policy dictates)
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to work well on a collaborative care team
• Reliable transportation to the Bowie, MD facility for night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic resident care
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition accurately
• Teamwork mindset and flexibility in a dynamic care environment
