Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, dignified assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Support residents with mobility and transfers while following safe handling practices
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with meal service and document intake as required
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Build meaningful connections with residents and contribute to a warm care atmosphere

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS preferred or completion upon hire if required by facility
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Compassionate attitude, patience, and strong communication skills
• Comfortable with basic documentation and following care plans

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience assisting older adults with ADLs and personal care
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Reliable time management and the ability to follow directions
