Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Support daily living activities to promote dignity and independence
Perform routine vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
Assist with meal service and feeding while observing dietary needs and preferences
Document care and observations accurately and timely in the resident chart
Collaborate with nurses and the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Create a warm, engaging environment by interacting with residents and supporting social activities

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Experience working with older adults or in long-term care settings preferred
Current CPR or BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of geriatric care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic infection control and safety practices
Observation and reporting of changes in resident condition
Patient handling and safe transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and resident-centered care approach
