Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility support with dignity
• Monitor resident well-being and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in social activities
• Follow care plans and document interventions accurately and timely
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with older adults and those with cognitive or mobility challenges
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team
• Background check and any facility-required health screenings/clearances
• Previous long-term care or assisted living experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic eldercare best practices and ADL assistance
• Patient safety, infection control and proper hygiene techniques
• Ability to recognize and report changes in condition
• Reliable documentation and charting skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Team collaboration and time management in a fast-paced care setting
