Location: Bowie, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for older adults
- Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting resident independence
- Monitor and record vital signs, behaviors, and changes in condition accurately
- Assist with meal service and feeding, following care plans and dietary needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Communicate promptly and professionally with nurses, families, and the care team
- Document care and observations clearly in resident records
Qualifications
- GNA certification or state nursing assistant certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfort working with geriatric populations and assisting with ADLs
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved GNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and respectful, person-centered approaches
- Skill in basic clinical tasks: taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and mobility support
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Clear documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
- Good teamwork, time management, and observation skills
