Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and transfers while encouraging resident independence
• Monitor and record residents' vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
• Assist with meal service and ensure residents' dietary needs are met
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Offer meaningful social engagement and emotional support to residents
• Follow infection control protocols and help maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care every shift

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in geriatric or long-term care is a plus
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Physical ability to assist with transfers and provide hands-on care

Education

• High school diploma or GED and GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control best practices
• Compassionate communication with residents and families
• Dependable time management and the ability to follow care plans
