Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures during transfers and ambulation
Document care activities and observations accurately and timely
Help create a warm, social environment by engaging residents in conversation and activities
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies consistently

Qualifications

Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable assisting with transfers and basic mobility; ability to follow care plans
Clear background check and TB / health screening per facility requirements
Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful bedside manner
Previous long-term care or assisted living experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic geriatric care needs
Familiarity with documentation practices in long-term care settings
Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
Ability to observe, record, and report changes in resident status
Teamwork and collaboration with nursing and support staff
