Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Support safe mobility and transfer assistance using resident-specific plans
Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff
Help maintain a clean, comfortable and dignified environment for residents
Document care accurately and promptly according to facility policies
Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic care

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable assisting older adults with dignity, respect, and patience
Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and meet facility onboarding requirements
Clear communication skills and ability to follow care plans and directions

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and ADL assistance
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
Basic infection control practices and safe handling techniques
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
