Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
• Conduct thorough oral health assessments and document findings accurately
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post‑treatment care
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain sterilization and infection‑control standards for all instruments
• Manage patient records and update dental charts using electronic software

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist license (or eligibility to obtain)
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree in dental hygiene preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dental team
• Prior experience in a dental office setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental charting and practice management software
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
• Skilled in using ultrasonic scalers, prophylaxis angles, and polishing tools
• Understanding of radiography basics and ability to take intraoral X‑rays
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
