Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents while respecting dignity and privacy
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to ensure resident and staff safety
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection prevention practices
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team and family members

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Proven ability to work night shifts and provide dependable per diem coverage
• Comfortable with patient lifting, transfers, and hands-on caregiving
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Prefer basic life support CPR certification or willingness to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection control and safe handling procedures
• Accurate charting and documentation practices
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced care setting
• Compassionate interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
