Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC (per diem)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and toileting
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, mobility, and activities of daily living
Document patient observations accurately and communicate changes promptly
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control protocols
Build trusting relationships with patients and families to enhance comfort and dignity
Assist with timely, respectful patient transfers and positioning

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in Alabama (required)
Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
Previous experience as a CNA in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ADL assistance and safe patient handling
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
Good charting practices and timely communication with the care team
Empathy, patience, and the ability to prioritize patient comfort
