Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and document patient conditions accurately and promptly
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, mobility support, feeding, and comfort measures
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
Follow facility policies and infection control procedures to keep everyone safe
Support a positive, respectful environment that preserves dignity and independence

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Eligible for or listed on the New Mexico CNA registry (state-specific requirements may apply)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; friendly and patient-centered
Dependable, punctual, and able to follow care plans and documentation standards
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Practical knowledge of resident care and assistance with ADLs
Ability to observe, report, and document changes in condition
Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Basic infection control and safety awareness
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
