Roles & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret high-volume imaging studies across XR, CT, MR, US, and nuclear medicine with accuracy and speed
• Prioritize and rapidly report emergency department studies to support timely clinical decisions
• Provide subspecialty-level reads in MSK, Neuroradiology, MRI, CTA, and body imaging as required
• Communicate critical and unexpected findings clearly to clinical teams
• Participate in peer review, quality assurance, and case conferences to maintain high standards
• Document reports in the RIS/PACS system and ensure timely turnaround consistent with site expectations
• Maintain certification and licensure documentation and comply with remote reading policies

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with completion of a diagnostic radiology residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• State medical license for West Virginia or ability to obtain one in a timely manner
• Demonstrated experience with MR, MSK, Neuroradiology, CT angiography, and body imaging
• Proven experience in teleradiology or remote reading workflows and PACS proficiency
• Comfortable with high-volume shifts (typical daily volume ~90-100 studies per 8-hour shift with wRVU expectations noted)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work nights and weekends as scheduled

Education

• MD or DO with diagnostic radiology residency complete
• Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems and standard DICOM workflows
• Strong cross-sectional imaging interpretation skills for CT and MR including CTA
• Subspecialty knowledge in MSK and Neuroradiology
• Ability to triage and prioritize emergency imaging studies
• Time management and efficiency in a high-volume remote reading environment
• Clear, concise clinical reporting and effective communication with ED and inpatient teams
