Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Day shift); one weekend every 4 weeks (rotating)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat adults in an inpatient rehab setting to restore independence and quality of life
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on stroke, spinal cord injury, amputations, brain injury and multi-trauma
  • Provide skilled therapy to a typical caseload of 4–6 patients per day (about 5.5–6 hours direct patient care)
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including rehab aides, nursing, PT, SLP and physicians
  • Document care accurately and timely in EPIC to support continuity and outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on safe home strategies, adaptive techniques and equipment use
  • Participate in orientation and unit meetings to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license (must be submitted)
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an inpatient rehab setting
  • Comfortable working with common inpatient rehab diagnoses: stroke, SCI, amputations, brain injury, multi-trauma and debility
  • Experience with EPIC charting preferred
  • Able to be in-state for orientation week; driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in neuro and musculoskeletal rehab
  • Skilled in ADL retraining, adaptive equipment and mobility programs
  • Experience supervising and collaborating with rehab aides
  • Proficient documentation and care coordination in EPIC
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 4–6 patients while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
