Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology patients in a supportive environment
• Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy, with precision and care
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and side effects
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an oncology or infusion setting
• BCLS certification required
• Chemo certification preferred, but not required - we welcome all willing to learn
• Ability to start within 2 weeks and commit to an 8-week assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of oncology medications and their side effects
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in IV therapy and accessing central lines
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Adaptability to new environments and electronic health records systems
