Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse Stepdown/PCU population, including heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke
• Titrate and monitor critical drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro with confidence and precision
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond proactively to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with a dedicated team in a fast-paced unit where teamwork and positivity make all the difference
• Float to the ICU when appropriate and help wherever you're needed most
• Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, giving each patient the attention they deserve

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact license accepted)
• 2+ years of Stepdown/PCU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Ability to pass an open-book orientation exam with a 90% or higher
• Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Skilled in managing cardiac drips and monitoring patients
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment abilities
• A positive, team-first attitude ready for a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
