Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms for early detection of changes
• Administer medications and treatments with compassion and accuracy
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators
• Provide patient and family education on conditions like CHF, diabetes, and PNA
• Document patient care thoroughly in Paragon system
• Float to all med/surg units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• Valid Texas RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to read telemetry strips
• Must be comfortable with a virtual integrated care nursing model

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Patient assessment and critical thinking
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Time management and prioritization
• Knowledge of CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD management
• Proficiency with Paragon charting system
