Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Wednesday-Friday or Thursday-Saturday (rotating schedule), no holidays, no call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform overnight polysomnographic studies to diagnose sleep disorders
Apply and monitor electrodes, sensors, and other equipment per protocol
Score sleep studies and generate comprehensive reports for physicians
Ensure patient comfort and safety during the entire sleep study
Maintain and calibrate sleep lab equipment, including Philips G3 Sleepware
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care

Qualifications

Current Iowa Polysomnographic Technologist license (or eligible)
BRPT registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with Philips G3 Sleepware and Epic documentation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in sleep study scoring and analysis
Strong attention to detail and patient monitoring skills
Ability to work independently during night shifts
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
