Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in a progressive care unit, intervening as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
• Respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies with confidence
• Document patient progress and communicate changes to the care team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in acute care, PCU, or ICU setting preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
