Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate acute care to orthopedic, spine, and neuro/trauma patients on a fast-paced 36-bed unit
• Monitor telemetry and assess patients' conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, wound care, and dressing changes as part of daily care
• Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, respiratory, and the broader care team
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery and discharge planning
• Document accurately in the Meditech EMR and use secure mobile communication tools to enhance teamwork and patient privacy

Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification preferred
• Experience with orthopedic, neuro, or trauma patients is a plus
