Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist and scrub in a wide range of surgical procedures across general, GYN, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology and burn/trauma
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure a safe surgical environment for every patient
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and perioperative team members to deliver seamless care
• Document patient care and perioperative events accurately using Cerner
• Respond to intraoperative changes and emergencies with calm, competent action
• Support patient flow and handoffs, including call coverage and occasional floating to other units

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (required)
• Minimum 2 years of operating room or surgical nursing experience
• Broad surgical knowledge across multiple service lines as listed in the posting
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic documentation systems
• Comfort with variable schedules, call responsibilities and occasional floating

Knowledge & Skills

• Broad surgical knowledge including general surgery, gynecology, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology and burn/trauma
• Proficiency in sterile technique and intraoperative nursing practices
• Experience with Cerner documentation system
• Strong communication and teamwork in high-acuity OR settings
• Adaptability to variable schedules and floating policies
