Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to both adult and pediatric patients in a 17-bed unit
• Monitor patients with diagnoses such as UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD
• Administer medications including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics as ordered
• Apply telemetry monitors and collaborate with ICU for remote monitoring
• Coordinate with charge nurse and nursing assistants to ensure optimal patient ratios
• Float to ED/ICU as needed for 1:1 patient assignments

Qualifications

• Active RN license to submit
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med Surg or Pediatrics
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Ability to pass fit testing for N95 respirators (no facial hair allowed)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to ask questions and learn documentation system (MEDITECH)

Knowledge & Skills

• Med Surg and pediatric nursing knowledge
• Ability to titrate non-titratable drips (electrolytes, diuretics)
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring application
• Familiarity with EPIC or MEDITECH charting
• Comfortable with self-scheduling and floating
