Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and aftercare
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in ICU or critical care setting preferred
• Ability to work night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) and 36 hours per week

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing practices and protocols
• Proficiency in patient assessment, monitoring, and emergency response
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
