Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse MICU patient population
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and assess critical patients, recognizing changes in condition and responding promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-saving interventions with precision
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with hospital standards

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Illinois RN license or compact license accepted
• At least 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (from AHA)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts including every other weekend
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and charting systems
• Expertise in managing ventilators, drips, and critical care equipment
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
