Location: Syracuse, New York

Start Date: 07-26-2026

End Date: 10-24-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 1900-0730 (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), rotating weekends and every other holiday per department rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department
Assess, triage, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and perform procedures as ordered
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

Active RN license in New York or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ER experience preferred
Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-stress environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of emergency nursing standards and protocols
