Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Acute Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings, identifying and responding to changes
• Care for post open heart surgery and surgical post op COU patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare team

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois (or compact state)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Experience in acute cardiac telemetry preferred
• Pass required exams and skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of post open heart care and surgical post op COU protocols
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
