Physical Therapist Assistant - Travel
Location: Lanham, MD
Start Date: 12-01-2026
End Date: 02-27-2027
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Day Shift, 30-minute meal break
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physical therapists to implement personalized treatment plans that help patients recover mobility and strength
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities, adjusting techniques to ensure safety and progress
- Track and document patient responses to treatment, communicating updates to the care team
- Educate patients and families on at-home exercise programs and injury prevention
- Maintain a clean, organized treatment space and support daily clinic operations
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain one
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- New graduates encouraged to apply; prior experience in a rehab or skilled nursing setting is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and rehabilitation modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and staff
- Attention to detail for accurate patient documentation
- Ability to adapt to a variety of patient needs and treatment plans
- Basic computer skills for electronic health records
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
