Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient preparation and instrument setup
• Take and develop dental radiographs following infection control protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment between patients
• Provide patients with post‑procedure instructions and answer basic questions
• Ensure the operatory is clean, stocked, and ready for each appointment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Dental Assistant certification (CDA) preferred
• Previous experience in orthodontic or general dentistry setting
• Knowledge of dental radiography and infection control standards
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records
• Understanding of orthodontic appliances and procedures
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping
• Teamwork and collaboration with clinical staff
