Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to patients in a medical/surgical setting
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient progress throughout the shift
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
• Experience in a medical/surgical environment preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a 12.5-hour shift efficiently

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Documentation and electronic health record proficiency
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
