Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with procedures like braces adjustments and retainers
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and chairside documentation

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain
• Maryland dental radiography certification required
• Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and materials
• Proficient in digital x-ray and imaging systems
• Excellent infection control and sterilization practices
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office
