Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with braces and Invisalign procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable in orthodontics (braces and Invisalign)
• Valid dental assistant certification or license as required by Virginia
• Radiology certification preferred
• Previous experience in orthodontic practice
• Strong communication and patient care skills

• Orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Chairside assisting techniques
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
• Digital radiography
• Patient education in orthodontics
