Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional abilities and identify realistic, meaningful goals
• Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans to maximize independence
• Deliver skilled interventions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
• Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record
• Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive equipment to improve daily living
• Advocate for patient needs and support safe transitions of care

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California (ability to obtain quickly appreciated)
• NBCOT certification preferred or working toward certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Comfortable with travel/contract assignments and adaptable to varying facility needs
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered approach

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and task analysis
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, splinting, and adaptive equipment
• Proficient in developing measurable treatment plans and progress notes
• Familiarity with common acute and subacute diagnoses and rehabilitation strategies
• Comfortable using electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
• Strong time management, prioritization, and patient-education abilities
