Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients to identify functional strengths, limitations, and therapy needs
Develop individualized treatment plans using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices
Provide hands-on treatment and adaptive strategies to maximize independence
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the rehabilitation team to coordinate care
Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately and timely
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and adaptive equipment
Follow physician orders and practice within the State Practice Act to ensure compliance

Qualifications

Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Ability to evaluate and implement treatment plans under physician orders
Familiarity with assistive devices, therapeutic procedures, and patient education
Professional, compassionate communication and teamwork skills

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Occupational Therapy principles and therapeutic procedures
Patient evaluation and treatment planning
Use and training on assistive devices and adaptive equipment
Understanding of the State Practice Act and regulatory compliance
Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
Collaborative interdisciplinary communication
