Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident condition accurately and promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper techniques
• Maintain infection control standards and follow facility protocols
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and continuing education
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
• Complete required documentation and license/certification verifications
• Contribute to a positive, resident-focused environment that promotes dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Michigan
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty specific competency testing
• Must complete license/certificate verification and required health screenings
• Successful completion of Trinity 10-panel drug screen and respirator evaluation
• Up-to-date immunizations as listed: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza
• 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot) required
• Reliable, team-oriented, with strong communication and patient-care skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-approved CNA program completion and active CNA credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital signs assessment and reporting
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Observation and clear reporting of resident concerns
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow facility policies, procedures, and testing requirements
