Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of MRI procedures with precision and care, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for patients of all ages.
  • Independently operate MRI equipment while monitoring patients for safety and comfort throughout each scan.
  • Apply comprehensive MRI safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and equipment from potential risks.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to optimize image quality and patient care.
  • Verify patient information, explain procedures, and prepare patients for imaging exams with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and uphold strict quality control standards.

Qualifications

  • Formal education from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Previous experience in MRI in a hospital setting
  • ARRT Registry certification
  • MRI Registry certification
  • CPR certification
  • Venipuncture certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months
  • At least 2 recent supervisory references

Education

  • Formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Knowledge & Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of MRI safety standards and protocols
  • Proficiency in operating MRI scanners and related radiologic technology
  • Strong independent judgment and initiative in a fast-paced radiology department
  • Excellent patient communication and care skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow precise imaging protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
