Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; on-call rotation every other week (weekdays 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform interventional radiology procedures with a focus on neuro and stroke cases
  • Assist physicians during complex diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond quickly to changes during procedures
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as angiography, fluoroscopy, and CT
  • Collaborate with the care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide emergency coverage for urgent procedures

Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in interventional radiology, particularly with neuro/stroke cases
  • Active state license or certification as an IR Technologist (verification required)
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in interventional radiology imaging techniques and equipment
  • Knowledge of neuro and stroke-related procedures and protocols
  • Understanding of radiation safety and sterile technique
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced or emergency situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care
