Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting and Decision Support systems to deliver clear service-line profitability insights
• Publish and oversee monthly service-line and physician practice P&Ls and performance scorecards
• Lead STRATA-based financial modeling: feasibility, ROI, NPV, IRR and other capital evaluation metrics
• Coordinate regular leadership reviews to identify performance improvement opportunities and action plans
• Oversee reporting to external rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA) ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Mentor and develop the decision support supervisor and special projects analyst
• Support implementations and maintenance of ERP components, leasing software and STRATA forecasting module
• Produce ad-hoc and audit-ready reports for financial audits, cost reports, GME and community benefit reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (required)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support in healthcare
• Demonstrated experience with STRATA financial software or similar decision support tools
• Proven leadership/management experience mentoring analysts and leading cross-functional projects
• Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or MHA) and financial or healthcare certifications
• Preferred experience in hospital contracting, reimbursement models, bundled payments and physician reimbursement
• Comfortable with on-site work at the Dover, DE campus

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of cost accounting, P&L reporting and financial analysis
• Hands-on experience with STRATA (including forecasting module) and related financial modeling
• Familiarity with ERP systems and leasing software integrations
• Ability to produce reporting for S&P, Fitch, DAC and EMMA
• Strong forecasting, budgeting and decision support capabilities
• Skilled in developing feasibility templates and capital evaluation metrics (ROI, NPV, IRR)
• Excellent communication skills for training managers and presenting to leadership
