Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varies), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting activities of daily living with dignity
Monitor residents’ condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment to prevent falls
Support meals, feeding assistance, and mealtime needs with patience and respect
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Promote a warm, home-like environment and engage residents in meaningful interaction
Adhere to infection control policies and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

GNA certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills with residents and families

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
Basic clinical observation skills and ability to report changes clearly
Familiarity with resident safety, transfers, and fall prevention
Good charting/record-keeping habits and attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans
