Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to senior residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting while preserving dignity
• Support safe mobility and transfers, following facility protocols
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Document care activities accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Engage residents with friendly conversation and meaningful social interaction

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility for older adults
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required
• Positive attitude and commitment to person-centered care

Education

• GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care routines
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Clear documentation and charting skills
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to take direction from nursing staff
