Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care to older adults
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs, behaviors, and care provided
• Report changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention strategies
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver consistent care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-first attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with resident care safely
• Background check and health screenings as required by the facility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-focused support
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safe handling procedures
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Time-management and observational skills to notice subtle clinical changes
• Ability to follow care plans and accurately record interventions
