Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
Create a friendly, comforting environment that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Previous experience caring for older adults is preferred but new grads are welcome
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful bedside manner
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Competence with safe transfer techniques and fall prevention
Skill in personal care tasks and maintaining resident hygiene
Ability to observe and report changes in resident status clearly
Teamwork and collaboration with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
